From 2006 to February 2009, the national DDR Commission (CNDDR) in the country implemented a DDR program funded by the MDRP and the European Commission.  Only reintegration activities took place under the program, with close to 19,000 self-demobilized ex-combatants receiving support.

Disarmament of the Pool combatants was launched in February 2009 under the auspices of the Haut Commissariat à la Réinsertion des Ex-Combattants (HCREC).

The TDRP provides technical assistance to the Republic of Congo, in particular to carry out a survey and analysis of the reintegration results of the previous DDR program, as well as to study economic associations of ex-combatants..
