The TDRP supports various activities across borders and sectors in the Great Lakes region. These efforts allow to:
- Maintain engagement with other organizations active in D&R in the Great Lakes
- Improve coordination among organizations and the exchange of experiences

- Build capacity and provide technical assistance to governments and implementing agencies
- Further the analytical agenda and policy work on D&R themes.

The TDRP works with other organizations and agencies to leverage its resources, use their comparative advantages, and enrich the discussion on D&R in the region.
Current regional activities include:
Facility for Quality Enhancement and Innovation
The TDRP provides technical assistance to DDR commissions and implementing partners in the Great Lakes, support surveys and studies to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of D&R programs, and
undertakes pilot activities.
DDRnet
A network of DDR practitioners that organizes studies and seminars on D&R and related topics.
Foreign Armed Groups
The TDRP participates in the International Working Groups on Foreign Armed Groups, which address the persistent threats and instability caused by rebel factions in eastern DRC and across borders in the Central African Republic, Uganda and South Sudan.
