From 2003 to 2008, Angola carried out a national DDR program (ADRP) financed by the Government, the MDRP, the World Bank and the European Commission. The program helped over 92,000 ex-combatants and their dependents reintegrate civilian life through a large number of sub-projects.

The Government has launched a new DDR program to target over 150,000 ex-combatants from the FAA under the Lusaka and Bicesse processes, which is now being implemented. The Government is financing the program from its own resources. Under this program, 79 projects at the provincial level will assist the reintegration of 31.703 ex-combatants.

The TDRP currently does not provide support to Angola’s DDR efforts.
